ChatGPT just received a major upgrade with plugins, and it's now connected to the internet. That's right, ChatGPT is now a full-fledged internet superhero, and businesses built on GPT3 should be quivering in their boots.

This upgrade is no joke. You can now upload files from videos, CSV, and images, and make accurate calculations with Wolfram Alpha. The possibilities are endless, folks. If you're in real estate, you can analyze thousands of datasets, find investment opportunities, create accurate projections, and so much more. Trading bots and apps are no longer just for major players and companies with deep pockets. ChatGPT just leveled the playing field for everyone.

Zapier, Open Table, Kayak, Shopify, and others have already developed some extremely useful and creative plugin solutions and I personally can't wait to see who else contributes to this exciting new marketplace.

I swear, every day I see something new in the AI space that continues to blow my mind. This plugin feature is going to become an entirely new marketplace for developers and users. It's like opening up a treasure chest filled with endless possibilities.

Of course, like all good things, there are some downsides. The rapid pace of innovation in the AI industry means that we're moving quicker than anticipated to major disruption in the job market. Businesses built on GPT3 are in for a rude awakening, my friends.

Take Tome, for example. An AI presentation builder that attracted 1 million users with no revenue model recently raised $40 million dollars. But with Microsoft Copilot being integrated into MS Office, their business is essentially wiped out. And don't even get me started on Jasper, a tool I used almost every day built with GPT3, which was recently valued at a staggering $1 BILLION dollar business. I have to wonder if they see the writing on the wall or how they plan to pivot moving forward.

So, if you're a VC investing in AI companies, you'd better pay very close attention. There's no need to invest in a chatbot company when soon, anyone, and I mean anyone, can just create their own for any use case or business by simply describing what it needs to do.

Hold onto your hats, people. It's a wild and wacky world of AI out there, and with ChatGPT's major upgrade with plugins, the possibilities are endless.
